What payment methods are accepted?
We currently accept payment via VISA, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, and Afterpay.
Unfortunately, we can not accept payment from cards issued overseas.
Your account will be debited at the time of order and the transaction will appear on your statement as Hype DC Pty Ltd.

How do I get a tax invoice for my online order?
A tax invoice will be emailed to you, along with your order confirmation, shortly after you place your order online. You can save this email as a pdf, or print it if a hard copy is required.

Our credit notes can only be used in-store. When making a purchase in-store, present your credit note to the team member to have it applied to your purchase.

What is PayPal?
PayPal is an online payment system which lets you pay for your order with a PayPal account instead of entering your card details at the checkout, thus keeping your card details private.
PayPal Pay in 4
- PayPal Pay in 4 allows you to pay for your purchase in 4 interest-free instalments.
- Your first instalment is due at the time you make your purchase. The next 3 instalments are due every 2 weeks after.
- Repayments are made automatically from your PayPal account.
How do I use PayPal?
- You will need to set up an account with PayPal which is linked to your card or bank account.
- Select PayPal as your method of payment at the checkout.
- A PayPal pop up window will allow you to enter your PayPal log-in details, where you then authorise the transaction.
- Once payment is confirmed, a confirmation page will appear along with your order number.

What is Afterpay?
Afterpay allows you to shop now and pay later, always interest-free. With Afterpay, your purchase will be split into 4 payments, payable every 2 weeks. To check if you're eligible to use Afterpay click here.
How do I use Afterpay online?
Simply choose Afterpay as your payment method at checkout. Your first payment will be taken when you place your order. First-time customers will have to provide payment details. Any returning customers can simply log in to make their purchase.
At any time, you can log in to your Afterpay account to see your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date. Otherwise, Afterpay will automatically deduct the instalments from your debit or credit card every fortnight.

How do I use Afterpay in-store?Open your Afterpay App to view your available spend balance. Select “Pay with Afterpay Card” and you’ll automatically be taken to your Afterpay Card in your digital wallet.
At the checkout, tap the Afterpay Card to pay. You’ll be shown your payment schedule when your purchase is complete.

Can I return an Afterpay purchase for a refund?
As long as your item(s) adhere to our Returns Policy here, you can return an Afterpay purchase for a refund. Any funds you have already paid will be refunded back to you, and any future payments will be cancelled. Please see here for a comprehensive breakdown on Afterpay refunds.

My payment didn't work but it's showing on my bank account?
Your order may have been "pre-authorised" for your purchase. A "pre-authorisation" payment is done before completing an order to ensure funds are available. No money is taken from your account, however, in some circumstances this authorisation may show on a bank statement.
If the item sells out before you complete an order (as is common with limited releases), our payment gateway will automatically void these "pre-authorised" payments. Please note, it can take up to 10 working days for this authorisation to disappear from a bank statement, depending on how quickly your banking institution can process the void.

How do Zip single-use cards work?
Zip’s Single-Use Visa Card allows you to shop with companies that aren’t partnered with Zip.
If you wish to shop with us via Zip Pay, head to the Zip App and search for Hype DC. You’ll be directed to our website. When you’re ready to pay, select ‘Pay with Zip’ and a single-use card will be generated.
